The area of the skatepark covers 2119 m². Thanks to the advanced solutions of the project's authors, this skatepark will be an attractive place for lovers of all urban sports. In addition to the skatepark, the facility plan includes an expanded recreational space, i.e. a pumptrack and a multipurpose field. The sports complex includes a parkour park to provide supporters of this sport with unique places to train and challenge themselves to overcome obstacles built into the urban architecture.

- An important point in the project was to connect the sections, adjusting them in terms of the height of the elements and the level of sophistication. We successfully combined some of them, these include: a skatepark with a pumptrack, connected in such a way as to move smoothly between zones," says the skatepark's designer, Jakub Pawlikowski of Techramps Group. The skatepark also boasts an obstacle that is, at this point, unique in skatepark infrastructure in Poland - Full Pipe combined with Cradle. - These are elements that distinguish large skateparks around the world, serving the most advanced users. The entire facility is innovative in terms of so many modern high-performance sports that can be played in one space. At this point it is one of the largest skateparks in Poland," adds the facility's originator.

Illumination of the facility will allow the sports infrastructure to be used also after dark, which will certainly affect the popularity of the place. Small architecture, including benches and rest areas, will provide comfort for all users.

- This facility fits perfectly into Minsk Mazowiecki's sports infrastructure development strategy for future years. It is the implementation of tasks written in the city's development strategy, which includes the development of sports infrastructure as one of the key areas. - Says the Mayor of Minsk Mazowiecki, Marcin Jakubowski. - The new venue responds to the growing needs and interest of residents in sports, which confirms our commitment to meet their expectations, he adds.

Skatepark opening in Minsk Mazowiecki - coming soon!

The grand opening is just around the corner!

On Saturday, September 14, there will be a grand opening of the new facility, which will last all afternoon and will be packed with numerous attractions. Since the facility was created on the initiative of Minsk organizations promoting parkour, rollerblading, skateboarding and BMX, representatives of these disciplines have been invited to co-create the opening event.

The event will begin with the official part, which will be attended by representatives of the city, county, the Ministry of Sport, the Marshal's Office of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship, the Polish Roller Sports Association and local associations. This will be followed by sports shows featuring stars from all over Poland, with musical accompaniment by a DJ. In between the shows, participants' attention will be directed to the stage, where panel discussions with experts and interviews with athletes will take place. At the same time, rollerblading, skateboarding, parkour and BMX workshops will be held. The evening will conclude with a concert in which Polish hip-hop group JWP will be the star of the evening, with YSF - Young School Familia, a local band practicing the same musical genre, performing as support.

However, the inauguration will include more than just the attractions scheduled for September 14. The very next day there will be a Roller Mazowsze Marathon and a Parkour Speen & Flow competition. A week later, a Weekend of Extreme Sports and the Polish Championships in Aggressive Roller Skating, Skateboard and Scooter competitions are planned.

- The Urban Sports Center will not only strengthen the motivation of young people to engage in physical activity, but is also a response to the problems young people face: exclusion, depression or feelings of loneliness. What's more, the scale of the investment will allow the organization of sports events of national scope, which will contribute to the promotion of the city, and strengthen local clubs and players in the role of hosts," enthuses Minsk Mazowiecki Mayor Marcin Jakubowski. - It's going to happen! - assures the city supervisor.

The long-awaited venue is becoming a reality

The new facility was also dreamed up by the local city sports community, who are already planning new activities and competitions at the newly awaited facility.

Kamil Oldak, representative of the local aggressive roller skating community and founder of the Roll&Skate nursery, does not hide his joy over the creation of the new facility. He stresses that the new infrastructure will influence the development of new skate adepts and their success in the country.

- Beginning with teaching beginners to skate, and ending with the advanced level. We will teach children, teenagers and adults. Our nursery has raised two players who regularly place on the podium of the Polish Championships in aggressive roller skating," says the skater. - Roller skating at a facility like CSM is a great opportunity to spend time outdoors, he encourages.

The local skateboarding community also waited a long time for a large skatepark, and the history of their efforts goes back to the first meetings in the parking lot in front of the market and the back of Mazovia Stadium, where skateboarders used makeshift obstacles. After years of struggle, the skatepark was finally built in Dernalovich Park, which became the main place for skateboarding, but over time the facility ceased to affect the development of users.

- The new facility is a dream come true for many generations of skateboard enthusiasts who have trained for years in various corners of the city, says Szymon Kuś of the Polish Skate Federation. - The skatepark looks like a space ready to host the Olympics. If young adepts start learning to ride on a facility of this class, we should have a skateboard Olympian in a few years, he assures.

Parkour enthusiasts will also find something for themselves. The Parkour Academy Association plans to organize trainings, workshops and events at the new facility, which will further strengthen the local community of parkour enthusiasts. The venue will become a daily meeting point, exchange of experiences and joint training for parkour and freerunning enthusiasts.

Many parkour techniques can be trained on the flowpark, progressing. The versatility of this zone is due to the fact that it is suitable for people training at a very high level, as well as for people beginning their adventure with parkour. - emphasizes Piotr Lichota of the Parkour Academy. -We will be resilient, organizing numerous workshops and meetings for people interested in parkour, he declares.

The new sports facility in Minsk Mazowiecki is becoming a dream come true for local urban sports communities, offering space for development, competition and integration, laying the foundation for the future success of young adepts of these disciplines.
